Author: Orson Scott Card
Why: A childhood favorite, have read it multiple times. I can't go too far into why I like it without providing spoilers, but I highly recommend it. Fits into the sci-fi genre as well.
Title: American Gods
Author: Neil Gaiman
Why: Read it recently, and is now one of my favorite fantasy books. There is also a STARZ TV show adaptation, which is pretty good. However, as common with most movie or TV versions of books, they made some actor selections, and plot changes, that I'm not very fond of.
Title: Throne of Glass
Author: Sarah J. Mass
Why: It's one of my favorite books. I would recommend it if you like action or romance books, you'll love this book. It is the first book of a series of the same name.
